Eric McCormack is a Canadian-American actor best known for his role as Will Truman on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace (1998–2006, 2017–2020). McCormack began his career in theater, performing with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. His portrayal of Will, a gay lawyer, earned him critical acclaim and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2001. McCormack has also appeared in shows like Perception and Travelers, and on Broadway in productions such as The Music Man.
