Jake Johnson is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for his role as Nick Miller on the hit Fox sitcom New Girl (2011–2018), which earned him critical acclaim and a Teen Choice Award nomination. A graduate of the University of Iowa and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he has appeared in numerous films, including Safety Not Guaranteed, Drinking Buddies, and as Peter B. Parker in the animated films Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel. Johnson has also worked as a writer and director, co-creating and starring in the series Minx and making his directorial debut with the film Self Reliance.
