Dr. Kent Berridge is a neuroscientist. He is currently a Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan.Dr. Berridge's work focuses on affective neuroscience and the psychology of emotion, motivation and reward. He researches how pleasure is generated in the brain and how it manifests as wanting and liking. He also studies how brain motivation systems work, and their influence on appetite and addiction.Berridge received his B.Sc. from the University of California at Davis and his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
