Dr. Lara Sheehi is a professor of Clinical Psychology at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. Her work takes decolonial and anti-oppressive approaches to psychoanalysis, with a focus on liberation struggles in the Global South. She co-authored Psychoanalysis Under Occupation: Practicing Resistance in Palestine (Routledge, 2022) and is a contributing editor to the Psychosocial Foundation's Parapraxis Magazine. Sheehi was the founding faculty director of the George Washington University's Psychoanalysis and the Arab World Lab, and is on the advisory board for the USA-Palestine Mental Health Network.
