Vanda Felbab-Brown is a scholar of crime, organized crime, conflict, and nontraditional security threats. She currently is a senior fellow with the Center for 21st Century Security and Intelligence in the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution.Felbab-Brown has been adjunct professor at both the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and the University of Delaware. She was guest lecturer at the School of Advanced Military Studies in Fort Leavenworth. She has been a member of the Economics of International Drug Strategy expert group which is organized by the London School of Economist’s IDEAS.Felbab-Brown received her B.A. in government from Harvard University and her Ph.D. in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
