Mental illness is nothing new, but treatments and understandings have changed over the years and we're now much more open about discussing depression and other conditions, including traumatic brain injuries - sometimes called the "invisible epidemic". Associate Professor Catharine Coleborne outline the history of insanity and institutions in the colonial world. WORLD fashion co-founder and CEO Denise L'Estrange-Corbet will talk about living with depression and Dr Nicola Starkey from Psychology will talk about her research in understanding the effects of TBI, perhaps caused by car accidents, sports, assaults and falls, on the developing brains of children and young people.
