Are you beginning to get tired of people saying a game looks like a Pixar movie? It's true, Pixar is ubiquitous and well known for beautiful movies, but what if I told you this compliment can actually be somewhat derogatory? What exactly happens if a game actually does turn out to look like a cartoon come to life? I wonder if that's really such a good thing. In today's review I'll be weighing in on this debate, can art direction for a game be too faithful to its concept art, can a game be so pretty that you lose sight of what's truly important? There's a lot of questions to answer today, and almost all the answers will either displease you or illuminate things for you. One thing's for sure, Crash 4 elicited a strong emotional response within me, and for doing that no matter what I may feel about the game itself I'm still glad to have played it. Always remember, even when you have enhanced shadows, that A is X. For show notes and credits visit aisxpodcast.com and for early access to episodes visit patreon.com/aisxpodcast
