Popcorn, New-Delhi sandwiches and beers in our members only first philosophy event. At first we saw The Real Adam Smith: Morality and Markets movie, and then we had a deeper discussion about Adam Smith's books and ideas with Sagi Barmak.
We talked about the Scottish enlightenment and Smith's thoughts about division of labor, trade, spontaneous order (eg. language and ethics), self interest, god, David Hume, and empathy. Due to the great success of the event, we'll be back with another event of this kind!
