Inspite of all the self-help and life-advice podcasts I'm subscribed to, this is the one I turn to for genuine life-advice. It's amazing how people just open up to Anna. One of my favourite podcast hosts.

I am convinced that, had Anna Sale pursued another path in life, she would be a master CIA interrogator. Thankfully, she has used her powers for good and she gets people to talk with that gentle, inquisitive, and subtly sagacious voice. But what truly impressed me about this show is how, even when monsters come onto her show (such as one dude who blew up his marriage in the most selfish manner imaginable), she somehow sustains her cool and TRIES to summon a way to understand. Honestly, that power is beyond me. If I had to talk with a Nazi, I'd likely be screaming at the top of my lungs at some point. So I listen with great respect to Sale to see if that quality might be possible for me somewhere down the line.

Interview style journalism. Some of the stories are very interesting, some not so much. A lot of interviews I don't care about, particularly with celebrities, but a lot of topics covered that are intriguing. Sometimes host voice can be annoying. Unsubscribed after awhile.

As someone who has faced death, and sex, and money my whole life this podcast is just a dopamine hit from every direction.
