From The Podcast

I am a cognitive scientist, computer scientist, and musician who builds brain-computer interfaces and has made this podcast in order to fuse these interests and cultivate techniques for investgating, broadcasting, and stimulating conscious experience. The first set of podcasts will consist of many experiments, and with your feedback, preferably directed to my Twitter handle @SamHincks, I will determine how to proceed. From my current vantage point, there will be four episode varieties:- Entropy episodes will randomly explore some topic set to music in the voice of my theatrical Swedish alter-ego.- Induction episodes will attempt to induce various cognitive / emotional states with music, poetry, silence, and guided meditation.- Sober episodes will involve a semi-scripted exploration of a topic relating to mind, often focusing on a published academic paper.- Dialogue episodes will include a recorded conversation with scientists, creatives, and other reflective individuals.
