ArchiCAD or AutoCAD, the question that isn’t as simple as that.

ArchiCAD and AutoCAD are both giants of the architectural modelling game. So when I comes down to choosing which software to use, its something that requires a lot of though. Auto for example is a very cheap software to run compared to ArchiCAD. At a couple hundred dollars a month for a subscription based service, you can get up and running with AutoCAD relatively quickly.
ArchiCAD on the other hand is a lot more expensive to start up, but it is a one off payment unless you want to upgrade every year to the latest and great version of ArchiCAD. The major difference is in the speed and efficiency of documenting on these two programs. AutoCAD is a 2D based software that takes a long time to fully document a building, but you can document almost anything you mind can imagine. ArchiCAD on the other hand is a full 3D modelling system that allows you to create complex architectural forms in just minutes.
Between the two systems one is definitely more powerful, whilst the other can create almost anything. Which one is best for you in 2020, lets find out!
