Vonnie is an assistant at a Hollywood talent agency, where she is secretly dating her boss, Phil. One day she's tasked with showing Bobby, her boss' nephew from New York City, around town. They hit it off and begin to hang out regularly. A romance then blossoms after Vonnie and Phil break up. Soon, Vonnie is considering marriage and moving to New York with Bobby. But her feelings for Phil still linger, and - when he leaves his wife for good - Vonnie decides to marry Phil. Years (?) later, Vonnie and Phil visit New York City and stop by the nightclub that Bobby now manages with his brother. Vonnie and Bobby get reacquainted, reminisce about their previous romance, and eventually reveal that they often still think of each other and what might have been. After sharing a kiss in Central Park, the two return to their own lives and families. As a new year begins, Vonnie's mind wanders and she wonders if she made the right choices in her life.
