An Arizona man named Ray Krone was released from prison after 10 years for the murder of Kim Ancola. The prosecution's expert claimed a "perfect match" between his teeth and a bite mark found on the victim. Ray was later cleared after DNA belonging to another suspect (Kenneth Phillips) was found on the victim's clothes. Forensic dentists can give the jury the impression that bite marks are as unique as fingerprints or DNA. He had since been exonerated.
