During this episode, Sensei Jason Henderson shares a glimpse of his unique personal journey on his road to discovering his passion for physical therapy in which he has practiced for the past 26 years now. He first began his studies at Florida A&M University and continued on to the University of Alabama where he earned his Doctorate degree. He also pays respect and gives homage to his Mentor, the late Dr. Woodruff, for how she pushed him into continuing to go higher in his educational pursuits, etc. We further discuss his chance encounter on how he randomly discovered his gift of Martial Arts! Currently Sensei Jason is teaching and paying forward his Martial Arts love to several Beautiful African American Children by teaching classes in person in Washington, DC’s 7th Ward. ALL of his students have be diagnosed as Autistic. His program, IceFyre Martial Arts is making great waves and is sure to become an even bigger Phenomenon in the Very near future!!! Dr. Sensei Jason will be the only Martial Arts panelist on the board for the upcoming National Conference this April, “Autism in Black” that will highlight and bring more awareness to African American children with Autism.
