Aesop’s Fables were read to me by my mother when I was young and through this podcast I am reading the fables to my great-grandchildren and any other young children that might enjoy hearing them.  This Fable, the Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, teaches that poverty with security is better than plenty in the midst of fear and uncertainty.  The link to the actual written fable along with a lovely illustration is at
