Dr. Matthew Ingalls is Associate Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at the American University in Dubai. He has been a university faculty member in Dubai and the U.S for the past eight years, while his academic specializes in medieval Islamic Law, Sufism, and the Mamluk Sultanate.
