Popular Reviews of History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps

Exactly as advertised. I'm a hundred episodes in, we're bouncing up against the 6th Century in Europe with Christian philosophers who made important contributions but who are never on the HistPhil101 syllabus, which sticks to the well-known high points. I love Peter Adamson's preparation and boundless knowledge (that includes the ancient languages) and appreciate (without loving: you'll hear too many references to giraffes and Buster Keaton) his droll, precise presentation. With more than 200 episodes before me, and weekly additions piling up, I've got a lot of listening to do. And I haven't even hit Adamson's area of particular expertise (and a huge gap in survey courses): Middle Eastern philosophies and contributions to the preservation of ancient Greek and Roman texts. So much to look forward to.
