20 years ago, this year, Outkast came out with one of the most ambitious albums in hip hop history called "Stankonia." It combined elements of hip-hop mixed with psychedelic sounds, funk, and techno. It spawned their first number 1 hit, the iconic "Ms. Jackson," and helped put Southern Hip Hop into the mainstream. This is highly regarded as one of the best albums of all-time, best albums of the 2000s, and best albums in hip-hop history. The duo grabbed 2 Grammys (Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "Ms. Jackson" in 2002) and a lot of critical acclaim.
