From The Podcast
This is the second part of the B2 module, the obligatory introduction to English Language and Linguistics. In this part, we will focus on language in use, i.e. pragmatics, text linguistics, conversation analysis, language acquisition, and on the history of English from about 450 CE to 2010. There is no single textbook available for this class, but students are strongly encouraged to check out ELLOandfriends for further information. There will be a final written test which covers both parts of the lecture. You have to pass this test in order to proceed to the V2-module.
