Sonny Liston is considered one of the best fighters of the last century. The former heavyweight champ was so feared it was often difficult for him to find opponents. He had to rely on mafia representation to help advance his career. However, after being beaten twice by Muhammad Ali, his career sputtered and his was left without direction. No longer being a profitable investment, the mafia no longer supported the ex-champ. He turned to working with loan sharks and drug dealers as hired muscle to help make ends meet. Liston was a fighter and never backed down from pointing out when he felt he was wronged. This earned him many enemies in Las Vegas, where he resided, and ultimately may have cost him his life. This week, Killin Missin Hidden explores the mysterious death of Sonny Liston.
