Get to know Sonia Pitzi, Jeff Zimmerman, and Andy Kuhl, an ECYEH trio of dedicated individuals who are making a positive impact. For more than 24 years, Sonia has been dedicated to removing obstacles for students who are experiencing homelessness by collaborating with school districts, shelters, and other community agencies. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Sonia was honored with the Sandra Neese Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association for Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) in 2015. 

As the Homeless and Foster Care Coordinator for Region 7, Jeff Zimmerman is passionate about helping at-risk youth. He covers 17 counties and works with 86 local education agencies to ensure that necessary services are provided and barriers are eliminated. 

With 40 years of experience in education, Andy Kuhl has held multiple positions such as Superintendent, Curriculum Director, Principal, and Teacher. He has also been involved with the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators and Region 7's ECYEH program.
