Too many managers fail to delegate sufficiently. In many cases, managers don't know how or what to delegate. But even when some managers have a sense of what and how, they don't delegate. This is often because they don't know the hidden dangers of NOT delegating! We often call delegation the silent 4th part of the Manager Tools Trinity. Unfortunately, the silent part of that is managers not delegating! We've heard it all before: I can do it better than them, I don't have time to delegate, I don't know how, they're all busy too. We've tried for years to encourage delegation, pointing out the value and the rewards. But now we're going to take the opposite approach, and point out the dangers of not delegating. There are probably more than these 4, but these are the big ones. If this doesn't convince you, nothing will.
