Rube Goldberg The Fly Trap Challenge (by Wonderology)

The Fly Trap Challenge (by Wonderology) activity called “The Fly Trap Challenge.” Geared for ages 8 and up, we had an 11-year-old and 7-year-old try it out. As you can see from the video, it took some maneuvering to get it work. All the adjustments and modifications that were required to make it work increased the educational value. However, although we don’t show most of them in the video, the number of attempts it took became a little frustrating.

There are more Rube Goldberg sets in this this line, as well as kits by other brands. However, you don’t need a kit to build a Rube Goldberg machine–you and the kids can scavenge the house and fire up your imaginations.
