James Newton is an academic and filmmaker. He is author of The Mad Max Effect (Bloomsbury, 2021) and The Anarchist Cinema (Intellect, 2019). As James Edward Newton, he is director of Black Lizard Tales (2020) and KATERNICA (2023).
