Today we interview Alex Bhatt. Alex is the general manager of the Generator Stockholm, a brand new hostel in Stockholm, Sweden that doubles as an amazing co-working/co-living space.  I had the privilege of staying at the Generator on it’s grand opening week.  I have been looking for a great place to work since I arrived in Europe in early June and I was very happy when I found the Generator; it’s been a great place to spend my time in Sweden.

Alex has lived abroad in many countries around the world, such as Kenya, Mozambique, Botswana and South Africa. In 2008, he finally settled in his home country of Sweden.

Alex holds a BS in Hospitality Management from Oxford Brookes University.He started his career with the big brands such as Marriott and Hilton but eventually switched to the Swedish lifestyle brand, Story Hotel, in 2009. He has held numerous operational rolls with a strong focus on rooms, but also restaurant management, until he went on to become the general manager.

He has been with Generator in Stockholm since March of 2016 and has played a crucial role in getting the facility up and running. He has done an amazing job and I really look forward to see how this hostel will transform the co-working lifestyle in Stockholm.
