This podcast explores the National Union for Democracy in Iran (NUFDI), an Iranian-American non-profit, non-partisan organization NUFDI states its mission is to represent the Iranian-American community in pursuit of a U.S. policy toward Iran based on human rights and democracy values. It identifies as a civic organization, not an opposition group, and believes the form of government after the Islamic Republic should be decided by the Iranian people in a free and fair referendum. The organization is supported solely by members of the Iranian-American community and allies who support the cause of human rights and democracy in Iran, and does not receive government funding6.
