This entire show is about syrup and absolutely no one talks about that enough. It has been hinted at previously but it is loud and in your face this episode. Riverdale is alllll about syrup. Archie goes with Cheryl to the annual tree tapping ceremony (for syrup) and the whole plot is very Troy Bolton in HSM2, Veronica tries to make peace with a very guilty conscience, Ethel returns, Hermione comes clean to Fred, Alice gets a new job and Betty is worried about Polly who is on a mission of her own.
