I am 75 years old and a YMCA lifeguard. I have always been an adventure seeker and "participated" in every Survivor season since 2000 as a vicarious adventurer. My spouse of 53 years has a familiar refrain for me, "Why don't you act your age?" Finally, she gave me permission to apply for Survivor in 2024. It didn't go anywhere. I assumed that my adventure days are done apart from my final passing and that I should best leave Survivor to younger people. But then I discovered this podcast, "Choosing the Castaways". I fire lit within me. I decided to give applying one more chance. Thank you for helping keep my dream alive one last time.
