In the inaugural episode of Open Source Knowledge, a digital series aiming to educate audiences, Phil Svitek and Ally Nasta explore the world of personal finance. To give them initial pointers and insights, they interview Chelsea Galicia, co-founder of the Financially Fit Foundation (http://financiallyfitfoundation.org/). With her help, they debunk common myths about budgeting, spending and saving. Chelsea gives them great step by step instructions to truly track where their money is going so they too can be “financially fit”. The lessons are easily applicable for anyone, so don't hesitate to try. Please let Phil and Ally know your thoughts and opinions about the advice given – do you agree? have you tried other methods? what have you found that works/doesn't work? Etc... The goal of this show is to share information with everyone! Phil and Ally are simply the catalysts for a much deeper, engaging and universal conversation, especially with a topic such as money. This interview represents part 1 of their in depth journey into personal finance. Part 2 will be an interview with Katerina Cozias (http://katerinacozias.com/) whose background apart from hosting is in business communications.
