Great in-depth storytelling from some of the most talented adventurers and scientists on earth! Highly recommend!

Overheard is an enlightening series which visits communities, creatures and concepts far and wide. The topics stem from the work of National Geographic employees and contributors, be they reporters, photographers, editors or researchers. As a result the stories are wonderfully varied, both in terms of subject and viewpoint. I really enjoy discovering new facets about our beautiful planet, be they tribes in far away islands, insects hidden from view or built structures with a fascinating history. Episodes are accompanied by interesting and relevant links to videos and articles in the show notes, should you wish to delve further into a subject Overheard is a must listen for anyone who considers them curious about the world around them.

I love this podcast but the episodes are all too short. Podcasters talk so slowly, I speed them up which makes a 30 minute episode 15. Just wish they’d go further in depth

Interesting stories, but sometimes they focus on the uninteresting bits.

One of the newer shows in my list, Overheard is a welcome respite from my busy life. The stories told on the show help me better connect with the larger world. I love it!
