I always admire anyone who publishes daily for being so prolific and probably a touch of crazy. James Cridland’s Podnews newsletter is a must read if you want to know what’s happening in podcasting. With this show, you can listen to James read it to you with a smooth, British broadcaster’s delivery. He seems rationale and level headed. Is he insane or insanely good? You be the judge!

This is an essential part of my morning routine. James Cridland's punchy, informative news update is the first thing I listen to almost every morning on my daily walk. His humor is dry, he is witty--but most of all, I appreciate how much information he packs into a concise podcast. This show will not waste your time and I am grateful for that. Also, the show's notes are fantastic. I find myself clicking into at least one or two links from each episode. Podnews is a must listen for any serious podcaster.

Podnews has such a high concentration of facts, that it's the only show I always play at 0.5 x speed, thanks to that feature in Pocket Casts. which remembers that setting for this show exclusively.

James really understands the podcasting ecosystem and the larger media landscape. His podcast and newsletter are invaluable to people trying to understand what's happening the world of podcasting. Should be required listening for anybody working in podcasting.

Very informative

This is the first thing that I have set to play when my Google Home wakes me up. As an avid podcast listener, I like to know the movings and shakings about the professionals’ world & learn about new trends and shows in the listeners’. Every episode is to the point, and I love how when James (that’s the host) references himself in the copy, he whispers “that’s me” like it’s a little secret. Makes me giggle every time, which makes for a good wake up.

This show is a Soros megaphone. They had no problem running a bit that says 270 scientists call for Joe Rogan to be taken off the air. Did they mention these facts though: ONLY 100 of the 270+ signatories to the letter are people with qualified medical degrees. And a large chunk of that 100 or so medical doctors are MDs employed at universities, who are NOT in fact practitioners of medicine.
