Pretty bold, huh?
I am coaching more than 20 French students now. After 9 years of experience in teaching different subjects, levels and people, I can tell you one thing for sure - I can teach anyone who wants to learn. On a contrary, I’ve been taught. I had different tutors and teachers in my life and my conclusion is - if a person can do something extremely well, it doesn’t mean that he or she can teach you that. Native speakers cannot teach you their language if they don’t know how to do that. A good dancer cannot explain to you how to feel the music, Beyonce cannot teach you how to sing. Why so? They became successful in what they do because they found their way to learn. This way can suit you but it’s not 100% true. You can try learning English as your favourite blogger and fail. When you fail after a lot of effort you think that you are somehow worse than others. Why someone else did the same and succeeded and you haven’t?
One of my personal aims as a coach is to let people follow their impulses and intuition. No one can find your way for you. I always give ideas and not concrete plans, that’s why my marathons are concentrated on learning through research. If you have ever participated in Polly Glot marathons, you know that you have to find resources you like. You have to practice this type of understanding of what is comfortable for you.
My teaching method and my coaching method are very simple and difficult at the same time. I give you as much freedom as I can but I show you the path so you don’t get lost.
You can check my marathons on pollyglotmarathons.com and try any of them. Today I open a free subscription to the Pronunciation marathon starting next week. You can check the format and see if it’s suitable for you. I only have 20 sport!!!
This time you will also receive everyday videos from me on Instagram! Don’t forget to put the name of your profile there.
