Creative Writing@Georgia College has established arecord of national success and offers a Master ofFine Arts degree, Georgia College's only terminaldegree. The undergraduate program includes morethan 120 students as majors.The master of fine arts degree program began in2002, and in that short time, we have garnerednational attention.Our students come here from all over. Theyconcentrate in fiction, poetry, creativenon-fiction and scriptwriting, and work alongsideprofessors who know their craft and have long,accomplished careers.Our classes are intimate so there's alwaysopportunity to collaborate, to workshop stories,to discuss theories of narrative and poetics.We are home to Arts & Letters, a national awardwinning literary journal where students are anintricate part of the publishing process asreaders and editors.And Georgia College offers the only MFA program inthe country that participates in the Peace CorpFellowship program. That only broadens our reachto find the very best writers.Students learn to hone their skills here anddevelop their voice.
