We describe the world around us with names. Without names, it would be quite difficult to interact with the world, and the same applies to fictional worlds too. However, while names in the real world can be determined by a wide range of preexisting factors, how do you come up with names in fiction that are true to the story, appropriate for its settings and tone, while also being memorable and interesting?
