This podcast is completely worth your time. Malcolm Gladwell makes beautiful arguments, and although he sometimes strays a bit too close to devil's advocacy for my tastes, he always makes me think, and he often changes my opinion.
Great podcast from the brilliant Malcolm Gladwell. Examines past events from a new and fresh perspective, asks hard questions, and isn't afraid of the answers.
Gladwell would be a FAR better journalist if he stopped drawing his conclusions from his own ideas and anecdotes that he pretends are facts. He puts stories together well, but far too often they are not based on anything solid, just his own wishes. This isn't how journalism works, no matter how famous you are, or how little people care about actual journalism. Respect the craft, don't be a part of the problem.
Solid longtime journalist podcast with quirky stories. Take Gladwell with a grain of salt though as many will point out his cherry-picked facts and unconventional conclusions from statistics. 4/5 rhetorical questions
I love this podcast. Who doesn't they are all over the place with the coolest content.
Not too long. Very interesting. Extremely well produced. Always a joy to listen.
A wonderful podcast experience! An awesome way to see some moments of our (greater or minor) History with perspective! Malcolm Gladwell doesn't rewrite History but gives us a one of a kind look to some events, sometimes going far in the past of those same events, to understand better what was at the its origin. I didn't know Malcolm Gladwell work before listening to this podcast, I've been blown away by his take to simple things! Very entertaining and educative!
One of my favourite shows. Gladwell is evolving into a masterful storyteller. I’ve loved his books but his podcasting could well be about to eclipse his best literary efforts. The topics are entertaining and he puts his heart and soul into every episode. My only regret is that there not more episodes per season.
There are some episodes of this show that truly open my eyes, and for that I'm eternally grateful, and others that feel like they miss the mark. Usually because the conclusion that Malcolm is coming to I find to be a stretch, or the claim that he is loudly proclaiming as revolutionary and profound seem pretty small or obvious. When he's on though, this is one of the most thought-provoking podcasts out there.
pure genius from gladwell - great storytelling
Slept on this for a long time. Now to binge the whole thing!
This is one of my absolute favorite podcasts, presenting gripping and contradictory stories that turn firmly held conclusions from the past on their heads, often through social justice revelations, sometimes through science, and occasionally through playful experiments.
Nope, sorry, I was Gladwell'd for years and I get it but this guy is a political bias wrapped in a non-threatening costume looking to reason and justify ideologies that when explained in plain english would chill your bones thoroughly.
One of my first loves in podcasting, the joy and excitement in which Malcolm geeks out on some of the episodes is a treasure in the audio world
I never miss it. The McDonald's french fry episode contains the sort of Truth that should be chiseled in stone somewhere.
Malcolm Gladwell is amazing, the content is structured as a story and is a great listen
Interesting stuff and thinking Malcolm. I like your different perspectives.
Overall I enjoy these podcasts. MG has a wonderful style of presenting his stories. They do get a bit preachy at times though, which is a pity. Season 1 is great! Season 2 is mainly long discussions on his opinions. Did not enjoy the episode that vilified golf. Season 4 seems back on track.
One of the best polished podcasts out there. High quality content every time.
I love Malcolm Gladwell's work. He has a fantastic way of peeling back the layers of a story to help you understand it better.
