Luna Brekke is a 21-year-old queer trans woman from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and her life has fallen apart. In 2017 alone, she has withdrawn from all her classes for a semester, dropped out of college indefinitely, quit her job, been to the emergency room for mental health issues, drifted away from friends, and had four different podcasts fail for various reasons. She’s eaten more unhealthily, she’s forgotten to take her meds at least once a week, and she’s spent almost every dollar she’s received almost immediately. It’s time to address all of that.In each episode of Send Me On My Way, she will talk to a different guest expert about a different facet of her life and make a plan to improve in that area. Guest experts will return a while after their initial episode to check in and address any problems that have popped up in that time. Topics will include things such as budgeting, healthy eating, time management, exercise, and organization.She also has a mentor for this project, Angie, who will check in with her at the end of each episode to process the plan and talk through how things have been going. Angie is a 22-year-old queer woman who also deals with anxiety and depression and is a social worker by trade. Instead of mentoring in a social work capacity, she will mentor as a friend and guide while using some of her career skills and personal experiences to inform their work together.
