One verse that ties up a lot of Christian is in Matthew 24 where Jesus says "this generation will not pass away until all these things take place." It sounds as if Jesus is telling His disciples that He will come back in their lifetime to judge the world. Premillenialists, or the common interpretation of this verse, says that these events are indeed related to final judgement and will happen in the future. But the original language is very clear that Jesus is telling that generation at that specific time that these things were going to happen in their lifetime. So, did Jesus misspeak? We will discuss that the events described in Matthew 24 were already fulfilled just like Jesus predicted, proving that He is the promised Messiah.
