Today we're talking about sin, murder and mayhem in the lives of Cain, Abel and Seth and in the family line of Cain. It's a tragic story, because sin is tragedy.

Sharon reads Genesis 4 and the sheilas talk about Cain's choice to let sin rule over him, and just how difficult it is for anyone to stay away from sin. They see Lamech follow the same path as his great-great-great... grand daddy but also see signs of hope in Abel's brother and his nephew.

The sheilas discover Abel and Seth were a little like Jesus, but Cain and his descendant Lamech were more like the serpent. They see that Jesus calls us not to seek revenge, but to forgive and keep on forgiving.
