Meg Lewis is a passionate advocate and activist in the health space, making a profound impact in the areas of respiratory care and palliative health. Through her writing and public presence, Meg sparks and contributes to essential conversations, challenging societal norms and addressing the deep inequalities within healthcare and health education.
A fierce advocate of respiratory care reform, Meg is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with respiratory conditions, ensuring they have access to better care, support, and the ability to live life well with disease. Her personal journey has only strengthened this commitment: after dedicating eight years to the NHS, she made the decision to step away in August 2024. This followed her own journey with disease starting in 2020, as well as her role as a carer for a loved one facing similar challenges.
Meg's down-to-earth nature, boundless energy, and unwavering tenacity have earned her the responsibility of advocating for respiratory patients on a broad spectrum of issues. In 2025, she will expand her reach further with the launch of her podcast and a growing presence on Substack, where she will continue to educate, inspire, and advocate for those living with disease.
