Part actual play/Part audio drama, Tale of the Manticore is an absolute must-listen for anyone that loves dark D&D adventure. The sound design is amazing, and the host’s incredible storytelling makes an enthralling journey out of random dice rolls.The characters are all perfectly written and performed, and their reactions to the “fate of the dice” are natural and believable, with a few amazing surprises thrown in for good measure.This podcast single-handedly convinced me to pick up Old School Essentials so that I could play through my own old-school D&D stories.5 stars, thanks for putting on an incredible show! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brilliant! The twists and turns presented by the dice rolls are woven intricately into a riveting story - that fact that no PC is 'safe' means that you can never tell what will happen next - keeps me coming back for the next episode every time!
