“Follow your dreams”. This is a phrase we hear over and over again. As cliché as it may sound, such a simple statement could be the defining principle of your life– a principle that will give you the courage not to settle down for something that does not make you feel fulfilled. 

Shawnté Marie Howard had a great job, but for some reason, she didn't feel like she belonged. So she set forth on a journey towards the unknown. She resigned, sold her belongings, and went on a road trip from Boston to LA! What did she find at the end of the road? 

In this episode, Shawnté recalls the exciting events of her journey and lessons she learned along the way. Joy and  Shawnté also discuss what we can learn about the roadblocks we face, what parents can learn about their kids' behavior and why they tend to keep secrets from them, what kids need to understand when parents tell them not to do certain things, and what abuse victims need to realize about themselves and what they can do to let go of the negative thoughts and pain in their heart.
