This week Shaun provides Sophie with both a belated birthday present and an early Christmas miracle - by doing what he's told and covering a UFO story: the Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident

The Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident was a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights near Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, England in late December of 1980 which became linked with claims of UFO landings.

The events occurred just outside RAF Woodridge, which was used at the time by the United States Air Force (USAF). USAF personnel, including deputy base commander Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt, claimed to see things they described as a UFO sighting.

The incident has become a favourite of UFO hunters around the world. It’s one of the rare cases of reports of an actual landing with physical evidence and that most of the sources are from military officials, giving it more credence than your typical UFO sighting.

We'll then delve into some of the alternate theories that have been put forward to explain the reports of the lights in the forest.
