Christmas in the Parking Lot - The Edge and Ecumenical Social Ministries (ESM) will again be coordinating a project to provide gifts in the parking lot for those who find themselves in need on Christmas Day. Inviting groups from around Colorado Springs to collect donations and hand them out Christmas afternoon. If you would like to support the event you may purchase a new cold-weather sleeping bag and drop it off or have it shipped to ESM (201 N. Weber Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903). You may donate money to The Edge (c/o FUMC 420 N. Nevada Ave. 80903) to enable them to buy additional coats.

Urban Peak Colorado Springs ignites the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives. Their shelter, street outreach and housing programs reach approximately 600 youth annually in the Pikes Peak Region. The youth served at the shelter come from a variety of backgrounds, and they strive to be a safe community for all youth, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, class, educational background, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability status.
