Abuse in sport is a topic which is very much in the spotlight, following many high profile sports players revealing their own experiences of mistreatment in their club as a child.
Paul Stewart, former England, Manchester city, Liverpool and Tottenham player, was one of the first players to come forward in 2016 with details of historical abuse at the hands of a youth team coach. In this episode, Paul discusses his own experiences of abuse in sports as a child, and why he created a free Safeguarding in Sport course with High Speed Training.
In this episode, hosted by Charlotte Leeming, Paul is joined by Judy Rogers, Safeguarding & Ethics Manager at Table Tennis England, who shares her insights from over 20 years working in the field.
