Clare Knox-Bentham is a Creative Arts Educator & Business Advisor + Coach; an artist, and a passionate advocate for engagement with creative practice.
She has been teaching for over 20 years and has been coaching and mentoring creative practitioners in how to make a living for over 10 years. Through her work in community outreach, Clare has set up numerous projects for creative engagement for all age groups and communities; as director for a graduate incubation space; as manager for communal studio spaces for artists and makers; and set up a physical retail space selling student and graduate work. Clare is also a practising artist + designer with her own business, making, exhibiting and selling work nationally and internationally.
Clare has set up a freelance consultancy and collective with three other artists and designers where they offer a series of in-person and online workshops as well as personal coaching and bespoke training. They cover a range of subjects including Understanding your Core Values & Drivers; Pricing, Finance & Accounting; Reflective Practice; Developing Routes to Income, Developing Confidence and Resilience.
Clare’s collective has worked with a variety of organisations and artists including The Crafts Council, The Design Trust, National Intellectual Property & Creative Industries, The Guerilla Girls, Studio Tej, Dr Noki, Textile Research Centre and Susie MacMurray amongst many others.
