Intersectionality & Challenging White Supremacy: How Women of Color Can Be Whole People in a Hostile World
The Revolutionary Sistas of the Diaspora is a group of Black and Brown Sistas coming together to discuss topical issues of race, social & economic justice, gender equality and everything in between.
During these complicated, toxic times, women of color are pulled in multiple directions. We face hostility from the current administration while both the feminist movement and the racial justice movements sees the value of our constituent parts, but not our whole humanity. We will discuss the intersection of race and gender and offer strategies on how to cope and remain grounded in an increasingly hostile, toxic environment.
The Sistas will joined by Nkechi Taifa, advocacy director for criminal justice at the Open Society Foundation to dig into these issues.
