As members of the Library Publishing Coalition community, we ask ourselves to consider where intersections and tensions lie between the growing medium of podcasting and the established systems of academic publications. As we explore new ways to incorporate podcasts into our existing infrastructures of citation and discoverability and introduce them to our research leaders and classrooms we ask: What can podcasts afford us in a changing digital information landscape and what are the challenges that we will meet?
