I wanted to give you a guys a little sneak peek at my new home office/YouTube studio that is currently under construction. 😄
Now let’s take a look at the existing office and a little walkthrough of how I create my videos right now.
I am going to share with you all of the tools I use. My microphone, cameras, and editing tools that I use.
📸CAMERAS----
I get a lot of questions about my setup, what type of cameras I am using, etc. Most of the comments I get are regarding the ‘blurry’ background look. It is referred to as bo.keh. This has to do with the ‘F’ stop of the lens. The lower the number of the F stop, the blurry the background looks (I use a 1.8 with a 16mm lens).

LENSES---
Now let’s talk about the size of the lens. How close does the camera or lens need to be to your face so you can record? I use a 16mm lens that sits pretty close to my face (I can reach out and touch the lens). In relation, a 14mm lens is also close enough to touch but it gives a wide view.

💡LIGHTING
----
If you have a good source of natural light, that is great! If you are like me and working in a dark room, you will want to add some lighting to avoid shadows.
🎧 AUDIO
----
🎙️ When it comes to audio, I have test so many microphones. You are looking for a good microphone that will clean up the echo and background noise.

Now I am recording directly to my computer. I use an HDMI cable plugged into a Camlink adapter which is then plugged in directly to my USB on my computer. 😄
I have done several videos lately that were time sensitive. I wanted to upload and edit videos as quickly as possible and share on YouTube’s trending videos.
I wanted to show you this tool, but this video is getting too long. I will share this process with you in a Part 2 so that I can show you all the details!
