Welcome to Teaching Through a Screen: a three-part series. I’m your host Jessica Huber. I am currently a senior at SUNY Cortland, studying to become a high school English teacher. This three-part series of podcasts are going to focus on what it’s like to teach during a pandemic. This is a topic that is really interesting to me because I’m studying to become a teacher and I’m curious to find out what it has been like for teachers during this time of COVID-19. Throughout this three-part series, I will be interviewing two teachers: Olivia Sutton and Annie Williams, for different perspectives on what it’s like to teach during a pandemic…Olivia is a teacher I have worked with to complete some of my observation hours throughout my process of becoming a teacher. She is someone who has really inspired me and helped me find my true love for teaching. Annie was student-teaching last semester when the pandemic hit, and in the last episode of this series, we’ll explore how the pandemic affected her student teaching.
