Welcome to Teaching Through a Screen: a three-part series. I’m your host Jessica Huber. I am currently a senior at SUNY Cortland, studying to become a high school English teacher. This three-part series of podcasts are going to focus on what it’s like to teach during a pandemic. This is a topic that is really interesting to me because I’m studying to become a teacher and I’m curious to find out what it has been like for teachers during this time of COVID-19. Throughout this three-part series, I will be interviewing two teachers: Olivia Sutton and Annie Williams, for different perspectives on what it’s like to teach during a pandemic… Olivia is a teacher I have worked with to complete some of my observation hours throughout my process of becoming a teacher. She is someone who has really inspired me and helped me find my true love for teaching. Annie was student-teaching last semester when the pandemic hit, and in the last episode of this series, we’ll explore how the pandemic affected her student teaching. In today’s episode, we will be exploring how the pandemic has affected Olivia’s teaching.
